This post is very late but I thought I'd still post anyway. The week before last, Scotty and I were able to go up to Alpine to visit my parents. They were called to be the caretakers of the LDS girls camp there. My brother Gus and his family came from Colorado to visit also. It wasn't the nice weathered vacation I had been anticipating! It was chillier than expected and it snowed 8 inches! IN MAY!!
So, we ended up doing a lot of sitting around and eating in the small house that my parents live in there at the camp. Here's Dad, Laurie, Gus, and Mom.
Scotty and Gracie had fun playing together but also spent some time fighting. Well, mostly Scotty saying, MY this or MY that about everything...."MY arm, MY animals, MY mommy, MY jammies, MY pants,.................MY EVERYTHING!!!! Here are Scotty and Gracie playing with the play dough. It was the only thing that kept them entertained for a longer period of time.
Another activity they enjoyed was hiding under blankets on the couch and waiting for someone to ask, "Where's Scotty, where's Gracie?" Sometimes they were under the same blanket. It was so cute.
Every once in awhile Scotty would be nice enough to let Gracie sit next to him without being a brat. I think this time they were watching Shrek or "Other Shrek."
The kids had fun running around together in the bunk room we all slept in. They would run then get down on their knees. Then Gracie would put her little hand out and Scotty would get up, take her hand and help her up. Such a gentleman!!! Here's a little video of them playing. The video isn't very good but what the heck, this is mainly for me, right?
It was good to be able to see family and Scotty was glad/excited that he got to see and play with his cute cousin Gracie. Hopefully it won't be too long before we get to see everyone again!

Thanks for sharing the video. Scottie and Gracie are so cute. Sure wish now that we hadn't wimped out and had gone up there with you guys.
You didn't happen to see the remnant of an helicopter crash did you? That would be Stevie Ray.
Holy snow! You got to go to girls camp! (minus the hundreds of girls) We had a sweet spot for girls camp didn't we. I love Alpine, so beautiful. Thats when you wish you had your snowshoes and cross country skies. Wow, snowing in May...crazy.
How fun to be with most of your family. Claire is going through a "mine" stage too. Ugg will it never end. (Claire really liked your video too)
Scotty's so cute. Don't worry about the nine thing they all go through it. Rigley was being a bully to Scotty last time he was here. Rigley probably taught him!
Thanks for posting, Raysha! It was such a fun week, even though we were trapped in a small space...
