Cute Swimsuits

I just found some sites with some adorable modest swimsuits. I know a lot of people are all about the Modbe swimsuits right now but I'm loving the below suits from Lime Ricki. I really hope to be able to order one soon!
I love these bottoms. They would be cute with the top in the first picture. I think that's the combo I'll be trying to purchase. The site is www.limericki.com If you're in the search for swimming suits, you can also check out www.blackandwhiteapparel.net I think the lime ricki suits are cuter though.
There are also some REALLY adorable suits at www.divinemodestee.com/divinitasole/

I've been missing a lot of things lately but here's a few things I'm really missing today.
1. My long hair. My hair has been buggin' lately and I just wish that I had my long hair back so I could throw it in a cute ponytail or side pony.
2. Pinetop. I miss the cooler weather, the beautiful surroundings, the story time which is WAY better than the one here, my ex-townhouse, and the people/friends.
3. Dr. Pepper. I LOVE Dr Pepper but I've been trying (without much luck) to lose weight for quite awhile now. I have been drinking mostly water, some Crystal light, and some diet soda. I miss my Dr. Pepper!
4. The park. Well, a convenient park that doesn't take over 15 minutes to drive to. One that isn't secluded from EVERYTHING. One that I would feel safe going to with just myself and Scotty. And, one that I wouldn't have to pay $35 a month to be able to use.

"Any man can be a father. It takes someone special to be a dad." ~Anonymous (Please take a closer look at the above picture and realize that NO our child WAS NOT in a ASU jersey. It is, in fact, a USC Trojans jersey that he was wearing. Since it IS Fathers Day, I thought I would clarify. Derrick wouldn't want anyone to make that TERRIBLE mistake!!!)

Happy Fathers Day to a very Special DAD!!!

You have grown so much since becoming a dad. Remember the young married man who couldn't stand kids and thought that babies, in general, were disgusting?? Well, you may still think that babies, in general, are disgusting but from the time Scotty was born, you have been learning and growing so much. You have become such a great dad. Scotty loves it when you get home from work and he's always excited to get to spend time with HIS Daddy. I love to see his face light up when I tell him that you're home. I love to hear his giggles and your laughter while he plays "hide and seek" and "Boo" games with you. From watching "Daddy shows," to wrestling on the bed, to snuggling and reading books, Scotty LOVES the time he spends with you! Thanks for being such a wonderful, loving dad!

Silly Kid!!!

Our little Scotty is such a silly kid! Today, we went to the high school track so that I could exercise. Derrick dropped Scotty and I off at the track and he went up to the paved parking lot to rotate the tires on our car (he's very proud of how self reliant he was today!) The problem was that I didn't have a stroller for Scotty. Usually I put him in the stroller and cruise around the track and then when I'm done, we play some ball on the football field. BUT, one of the wheels on our stoller fell off last week while we were at the track and we can't get it to stay on. So, I took an armful of balls and a bat and put Scotty on the grass and told him to play while I started walking. Well, he didn't want to play by himself so he ran after me for one full lap. So, between stopping to play with Scotty and working in my workout, we were pretty worn out when we were done. THEN, we had to walk up this huge switchback ramp to a little road that led uphill to the parking lot Derrick was in. Scotty's little legs were so worn out that I had to carry him most of the way up the ramp and to the parking lot. He's freakin 35 pounds!! By that time, I was super worn out as well. We got in the car, heard some bragging about how self reliant Derrick is and made it home. As we were about to get out of the car, I sighed and said, "Oh my goodness!" To which Derrick replied, "Oh, MY goodness!" Then we hear Scotty yell from the back seat, "No!!! MYYY goodness!"

Why is it that I'm always the last one in on all the good secrets??? I was just asked to be the Activity Days leader for church (it's for girls ages 8-11.) The Primary President was talking to me and told me about a site she uses a lot for Primary stuff. BUT, the great thing about it is.....that it's not just for Primary (I'm also the fourth Sunday Relief Society teacher.) It is for Relief Society, Young Women/Young Men, Elders Quorum, Girls Camp Leaders and well everything. It has tons of ideas and even links to join yahoo groups specifically for your calling. In those groups, you can ask questions to and get ideas from others who do what you do. I'm so excited to have this new found treasure in my life!!! And for those of you who may not have been in on the secret either, the site is www.sugardoodle.net

This post is very late but I thought I'd still post anyway. The week before last, Scotty and I were able to go up to Alpine to visit my parents. They were called to be the caretakers of the LDS girls camp there. My brother Gus and his family came from Colorado to visit also. It wasn't the nice weathered vacation I had been anticipating! It was chillier than expected and it snowed 8 inches! IN MAY!! So, we ended up doing a lot of sitting around and eating in the small house that my parents live in there at the camp. Here's Dad, Laurie, Gus, and Mom.
Scotty and Gracie had fun playing together but also spent some time fighting. Well, mostly Scotty saying, MY this or MY that about everything...."MY arm, MY animals, MY mommy, MY jammies, MY pants,.................MY EVERYTHING!!!! Here are Scotty and Gracie playing with the play dough. It was the only thing that kept them entertained for a longer period of time.
Another activity they enjoyed was hiding under blankets on the couch and waiting for someone to ask, "Where's Scotty, where's Gracie?" Sometimes they were under the same blanket. It was so cute.
Every once in awhile Scotty would be nice enough to let Gracie sit next to him without being a brat. I think this time they were watching Shrek or "Other Shrek."
The kids had fun running around together in the bunk room we all slept in. They would run then get down on their knees. Then Gracie would put her little hand out and Scotty would get up, take her hand and help her up. Such a gentleman!!! Here's a little video of them playing. The video isn't very good but what the heck, this is mainly for me, right?

It was good to be able to see family and Scotty was glad/excited that he got to see and play with his cute cousin Gracie. Hopefully it won't be too long before we get to see everyone again!
