I really haven't been in the mood to blog or to upload pictures lately. So, I'm finally getting around to it. A few weeks ago I decided to try my luck with cutting vinyl with my Cricut and making a cute wall hanging. This is my finished product! I didn't have transfer tape so I had to draw a line with a pencil and eyeball the rest. Not perfect but I'm happy with the results. Then, I thought I'd throw in a pic of my little binky boy......................we are STILL having trouble winging him of that thing. We are only using it for nap time and bed time. But, every once in awhile he will push a chair to the counter to sneak it. Or dump out one of the bins in his bedroom and use it as a step stool to sneak the bink bink off of his dresser. When I catch him with it, sometimes he'll hurry and take it out of his mouth and throw it on the table and say, "Good boy, take bink bink out." And then he'll continue to say it until I tell him what a good boy he is for taking it out of his mouth. It's small progress but still progress!!!

First of all, baby steps are the best way to go, so keep going!
And that pic of Scotty is amazing, his eyes are sooo bright!
He'll let the bink bink go eventually....
We started cutting a slit in Ansley's binkies (when she wasn't looking) the summer before she turned 2. When she would find it, she would suck on it for a second and then take it out and look at it. I would say, Yuck! it's broken, throw it away. So she was the one throwing them away and the next time she wanted one I would just remind her she threw it away. Then of coarse she would find another one we had lost and we would do it all over again. Good luck!
Oh yea! I love your wall hanging progect! I want to do some of that. I need more on my walls. If you want to see more of that kind of thing, go to my friend Claire's blog and then go to Urban lettering. Cute stuff!
Raysha,
I love the wall hanging!! I haven't felt the need for a cricut....until now. I totally want to do vinyl lettering.
We are soooooo going to have a struggle with Gracie's pacifier. I'm so daunted by the task ahead!
I love the wall hanging. I think it turned out perfect!
Scotty's so funny too, at least he knows he's not supposed to do it. Simon has no idea why we take his thumb out of his mouth. You should see his awful Buck teeth.
Scotty looks like a little stud in this picture! Palmer loved the paci and we finally had to cut them all down to the plastic so he had nothing to suck on. Good luck!
If it weren't for the pacifier in his mouth and I would have thought he was 6 years old here, handsome kid.
