As everyone who reads this blog knows, Scotty has been driving me freakin' nuts lately. And I usually tell him so. This is how it goes:
Scotty makes some huge mess or does something that I have told him over and over not to do.
I say, "UUURRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! Scotty, you are driving me freakin' nuts!"
This probably happens about once a day. Today Scotty was sitting on the coffee table with his juice cup. He was playing with it and it rolled off the table and fell to the floor. Scotty rolled onto his stomach, still on the coffee table, looked down at his juice, and said, "Fweakin' Muts!" He said it over and over and kept laughing harder everytime he said it. I couldn't help but laugh with him. Now he has been saying it all day and yes, still thinks it's hillarious. Everytime I tell him he shouldn't say that and neither should mommy, he says it even louder and laughs even harder. I better stop calling the cat a "little sh*t" when she throws up on the floor!!!!

Love Tag on Valentines Day
I've been tagged by Laurie. Perfect for V day too!!
*What is your husband's full name? Derrick S Palmer
*How long have we been married? 7 years 2 months
*How long did we date? We dated for 3 months before engagement.
*Who said I love you first? I honestly can't remember. How awful, huh? I'm guessing it was Derrick though.
*Who is taller? Derrick. When he's standing up straight, he's 6 foot 5 inches.
*Who sings better? Neither of us are great singers. But if the question was: Who sings the silliest made up songs to pets and Scotty? I'd have to say my big lovable NERD Derrick!!!!
*Who is smarter? This is a hard one. I'd have to say, it depends on the subject. He has more eduction but he's the one who always has to say, "It must be nice to have all the answers."
*Who pays the bills? I do, unfortunately.
*Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Derrick has ever since we've been married until just recently. When we moved, my dresser ended up on the right, so now I sleep on the right.
*Who mows the lawn? Lawn? What is a lawn?
*Who cooks dinner? I do mostly. Derrick used to cook more than me when I was working. He enjoys it more than I.
*Who’s more stubborn? Of course I'm going to say Derrick!!!
*Who kissed who first? I'm pretty sure Derrick kissed me first but with my prior kissing reputation, you never know!!!
*Who asked who out? Derrick asked me out. He got my digits at a dance and asked me out that next Wednesday. We went to Maccaroni Grill and watched a movie.
*Who proposed? Derrick. One night he asked me if I had ever thought about us getting married. I said that I had. A couple of days later he was holding my hand and played with my ring finger and said, "So when are we going to do something about this?" I was thinking, "When you ask me, duh?" I probably shrugged my shoulders and said, "I don't know." We ended up starting our search for a ring either that day or the next day.
*Who has more siblings? I have 5, he had 4 (1 deceased) at the time we were dating. Now he has 6 (1 deceased, 2 adopted)
*Who wears the pants in the family? We have little fun arguments about this all the time. He says he's the boss 1/2 the time and that our cat Kiki is the boss the other 1/2 of the time. I say I'm the boss 100% of the time. I think my percentage is greater so I should win!
I'm sure some people have all ready done this one. If you haven't done it and would enjoy it, I tag Amy, Melissa, Kathi, Koe, and anyone else who wants.

Wagon Ride
*Scotty on the ride
*Uncle Jim-a true cowboy!
Our ride took about 2 hours and Scotty did unbelievably well. While on our ride we were able to see many animals including horses, cows, many dogs, llama and geese (I'm sure I'm missing something). As we were riding I was thinking about all the people who made the trek west on foot and wagons. It took us 2 hours to go a distance that would have taken a small fraction of that time to drive in a car. Yet, day after day, those people had to walk and ride in a bumby wagon. I guess we have it pretty good, huh?

My Amazing Parents
I seriously have amazing parents. They have always been so willing to help every one of their children and many other people that they come across. They so many times put other's needs before their own and I never hear them complain about it. They have helped us so much with our many moves throughout our marriage and with many car problems during that time also. They just helped us with the move to Rio Rico and then came again this past weekend to bring us some stuff and to help me buy and install my washer and dryer. I am always amazed at the continuous love and support that they offer to me and my siblings. I am honored to have them as my parents and to have benefited so much from their love, knowledge and strength. I am so glad to be hours closer to them now and am excited that I will be able to spend more time with them. I love that their hearts and arms are always open to their children and because we have them as parents, we have more to live up to. Thank you both for all you've done for us and continue to do for us. Hopefully we will have many opportunities to repay you! We love you!

The Big 3-0!!!
I cannot believe that I have just endured my 30th birthday and do not feel any different or any older! But, wow, when I think about 30, it just doesn't feel like I'm talking about myself or that I should be in that category. Isn't it sad that as you get older, the birthdays get less exciting and a lot of times are not given the party they deserve? 5 year olds get princess parties, shouldn't 30 year olds be made to feel like princesses too? Just a thought. So, for my birthday I received the gift of high speed internet. I called yesterday and they came and hooked it up today. And I received the promise of a new camera when we get our income tax return (too bad we still have to round up some w-2s and get the taxes done!) I had also received some birthday money from Jamie and some from mom and dad. So, I went to Wal Mart in Nogales to see if they had the cartridge that I wanted for my Cricut. Not only did they have the one I wanted, they had it on sale for $45 (regularly $60 at Wal Mart and like $80 at Michaels.) Yipee!

Good Bye Pinetop, Hello Mexico............well, almost!
We just made the move from the beautiful mountains of Pinetop to Rio Rico, AZ which is practically Nogales which is right on the Mexico border. It is such a different experience. Spanish is the language primarily spoken here and I know just the few words that Dora the Explorer has taught me while watching with Scotty. The first time we went to Wal Mart in Nogales, we were the only white faces in the entire place! We went to church last Sunday and it was so wierd. They say something in either English or Spanish and then have to translate it to the other. And singing the hymns was next to impossible. All I could hear was the Spanish words and felt like I kept losing my place. There seems to be only one other younger English speaking couple in our ward. They weren't there last week but they do have a 3 year old little boy. So, hopefully our little boys can be friends. I keep thinking that the only way I'm going to be able to stay sane is to have the internet and blogging but any high speed internet we can get here is freakin expensive to get hooked up and then we'd have to pay $60 a month! (I'm on my parents computer at their house right now.) AAAaarrrgggghhhh! Derrick really wants dial up so that we can save money but does my sanity mean nothing to him???? I really would be neglecting my child for hours if I had to wait for freakin dial up to bring my sites up. I don't know what to do? I did find out that they have story time at their itsy bitsy local library that I can take Scotty to on Wednesday mornings. Maybe there will be some younger border patrol wives there that will take pity on me and be my friends. Hopefully I'm just anxious and missing my old life and that things will actually be great for us there.
