After months and months of potty training, we STILL haven't learned yet. BUT, Scotty did finally go poo poo in the potty for the first time last evening. He still says that it is scary but at least he did it. He finally got the Wall-E movie that we've had sitting on the "big boy" shelf since November. And he got to choose a toy from the prize box! He has watched Wall-E about 5 times since last night. So, after he went poo poo in the potty and then ate dinner, I bathed him and put his jammies on. He was playing in his room and Derrick went in to play with him. Derrick's nose soon learned that Scotty went poop in his pull up. So, much for all the excitement from earlier, huh? Is my little guy EVER going to make it into "big boy undies?" He wants cool undies so bad................but not bad enough to actually go in the potty. Aaaarrrrggghhhhhh!

this sounds totally corny of course but go to dr. phil.com and he has a pottytraining guide that is way super!! It really works if you stick closely to it. Good luck!! Pottytraining sucks!!

Ah so frustrating. Keep up the bribes though. Claire was sacred to go poo too for a long time...she would just get really constipated though until she "had' to go and I would sit with her for an hour in the bathroom uggg. Good luck, at least your doing it before baby comes.
Hey btw- August 1st is my birthday...I highly recommend it!

That's nothing. I've pooped in the toilet three times since last night.

It never worked for us until we got rid of the pull-ups completely, they weren't scared to poop in pull-ups, but the real underwear was no fun to poop in. It makes for a few messy days, but is so worth it in the long run. Good luck, we just started Rigley in the big boy undies this morning so I feel your pain.

I will probably be going through this soon :-( Adalyn likes to go on the potty everytime I change her diaper. Ansley took FOREVER to go poo in the toilet. She was potty trained for about 8 months but hated to poo. She would hold it for days until I would put a diaper on her. I didn't want her to get sick! I kept telling her we had to save the rest of the diapers for the new baby that was coming. I think telling her that and giving prizes is what did it. I had a little people play ground set and gave her little pieces of it each time she went so we didn't go broke buying tons of presents. Hang in there! He will get it!

Hey Raysha, I was wondering if you are still interested in sewing for hire :). If so let me know about how long it would take for an apron and I might be interested in one for Ryan's mom. Her birthday is in a couple weeks(23rd) so it would have to be fast so don't worry if you are not up for it but if you are I would love one like the one you made for Brianne. Let me know. Ohh, and good luck with the potty training...its so fun!

That would be perfect. Just let me know when you are going to be here and we can totally trade out for hair. I trust your judgement on fabric and ya, I like the red accents. I think I saw your email on one Brianne sent me, I'll shoot you over an email so you have mine and we can set it up. Thanks!

My good friends little girl insisted on wearing a diaper when she sat on the toilet. She wouldn't poo without it and she's 5! Some kids just have a hard time with it. Oliver would only do it if he sat on the toilet backwards and read or colored to get his mind off the task at hand. I think I might start training Simon in the next month or so, wish me luck!
Oh and Congrats on the Pregnancy! I hope Derek gets a girl;)
