A few posts ago, I wrote about starting a mini sew from home business selling bags/diaper bags, burp cloths, aprons, nursing covers, hooded bath towels, etc. I haven't yet started a blog or decided on a name for said "mini" business. I have been working hard on some custom orders and have sold a few items (I fall in love with each one and then I'm sad to see them go when they do.) I still have two more orders to complete and then I'll be ready to really set everything up. I'm excited to post pictures of the items I have all ready finished and introduce everyone to my new blog. The help that I need is..............I can't decide on a name. I didn't want to go with something that has my name in it, so I was thinking of old nicknames. One of my faves is Sunshine-Ray. It has a fun story to go with it. Another (abbreviated) is L.B.P. So, I'm going to add a poll on my blog so that you can vote for your favorite name. OR......if you have another suggestion, I'd love to hear it in my comments. If you are reading this and I don't know you very well or I don't know that you occasionally check my postings, please still vote or let me know what you think. I've been trying to decide for way too long!
Now, quickly I'll tell how I received the nickname Sunshine-ray. I was living in an apartment in Gilbert with 3 other girls. We invited some guys over to our place for a get together. They showed up..................with some other girls. AND, girls we didn't even know. We were slightly irritated that these girls were in our apt. and even more irritated that the guys we invited thought it would be okay to spring more guests (yes, competition) on us without telling us. So we were pretty much ignoring these girls and acting like terrible hostess'. One of the girls asked me my name and I told her. She said in her nasally voice, "If I were your friend, I'd call you Sunshine-ray!" My roomie Hootie and I looked at each other and then went to talk trash about the girl. Hootie started calling me by that name as a joke and then it just stuck.
Okay, stupid story but please, go vote NOW!!!

Hey! Even I had a hard time choosing between those super cute names! Sorry about the whole freakin' peeing on a stick thing. Wow, we women are something, huh?
May I share a few changes I would make if I had the privledge of creating this world (and women)?
*women would have 2 retractable arms underneath the ones we already have. Like Stitch. I have only one kid and I know that I could use them!
*periods would come at a specific time every month, and it would last about 5 minutes. I know they are a necessary evil, but must they last so freakin long?
Oh, and a few more things, but I don't want to offend anybody...I should probably go repent anyways. See you soon and I am soooooo excited about my bag, yay!

Are you still thinking of selling stuff at the Apple Festival? Just trying to find out if I need to be making stuff to sell or not?

I like Sunshine Schizz. I don't know why, but I love the word schizz. Maybe because it makes me feel like I can be a little naughty without really being too naughty. Dumb I know. So let's ramble a little here. I do too, appreciate Sunshine Ray, but what is it? So you would maybe think of calling it....Sunshine Ray Boutique, or Sunshine Ray's Creations, or Maybe in bold heavy letters "SUNSHINE RAY'S" and then right under it in cutsie little squiggly letters "A Collection of Creations." or "A Boutique for the Unique" or something along those lines. If you hate my ideas, just tell me where to put them. And I will gladly comply. But the thing is you are so very creative and oh my goodness, spunky, let's hear some of that.
Did I mention, I really like making Ray plural, like Ray's. Has a better ring for me.
I guess I missed out on the voting. I should check on you more often. I like the sound of SUNSHINE RAY'S A Boutique for the Unique. Although, I like saying schizz too! Probably for the same reason as Amy. :-)
Hey Raysha, I have typed this 3 times now. My child thinks its a funny game to hit the keyboard:) I voted for the design one because I thought it sounded fancy, like interior design. When are you going to start taking orders? I have a few pregnant friends and your stuff is so cute. Hope you are doing well!
